Carleigh Berryman started her company selling seniors the ability to feel less depressed during Covid-19.

In 2019, she started the company, Viva Vita, which gives seniors the opportunity to explore new realms in Virtual Reality.

Since the elderly were not able to travel safely, Viva Vita gave them the ability to visit different places right from their living rooms!

When the pandemic took place, the company was forced to discover new tech that follows the Covid-19 protocol. By 2021, the company has helped many seniors with understanding and ultimately being able to use virtual reality and visit many places from around the world, without even having to leave their homes.

According to their website, “At Viva Vita, we are driven by a single goal: to improve mental wellness & quality of life for seniors everywhere. We bring the wonder of virtual reality (VR) to your retirement community in convenient & affordable packages.”

When Berryman started the company, it was just her for a while, but now she has seven other employees who all work together to provide seniors with an amazing experience.

The story about how the company started was first thought about by Berryman when she noticed that her grandmother had been feeling isolated in her retirement. Her grandmother confessed to Berryman that she began to feel like she had ”no reason to get out of the bed in the morning.” Because of this, Berryman wanted to change something.

That’s when Viva Vita was born to help seniors live life to the fullest.

A few of their important values as a company are integrity, “We pledge to preserve integrity and transparency in our interactions with the communities which we serve,” curiosity, “We are committed to providing seniors with engaging experiences that spark their curiosity and allow them to Live Life! to the fullest each and every day,” and respect, “Viva Vita pledges to treat everyone with the utmost respect.”
