Riley is an adorable pup that like a lot of others, are spoiled by her owners.
Her owners waited on her and presented her with dinner in bed, on a plate. It was just a plate full of normal kibble but she didn’t seem to be very happy.
Riley smells and finally tastes her food, only to spit it back out and pushing it as far away from her as she could… Talk about a picky eater.
Dogs are omnivorous. They develop preferences just like humans. Also like humans, dogs eat to satisfy their body energy requirements.
Could it be the type of food that made her refuse to eat?
She didn’t make a big deal of it and was very calm when refusing to eat her food. She didn’t even bark or make a big mess of it. Most dogs in this case would try to bury the food or throw it off the bed and on the floor, but not Riley.
Maybe she didn’t use enough energy this day…one of the main reasons for dog’s not to eat.
Even though she didn’t enjoy her food, we are proud that she decided to give it a try and be very polite. If only we could figure out exactly what our furry friends wanted, it would make being a pet owner so much easier.
