As we all know, some people have special needs. What people don’t really consider is that animals can have special needs as well. In this particular case there are three kittens now dubbed the Powerpuff Girls kittens. They all have the same brain condition and they have a great story to tell because of it!
Special needs can come in all varieties and it can be hard to know how to handle it as a caretaker. By far, the most effective way to deal with any type of special needs case is a lot of love. It is incredible just how much improvement can be made when is someone willing to put their time, effort and love into someone else who needs them! You can learn everything there is to know about someone if you spend enough time with them and work with them to help them improve. All they really need is the help and patience you can put into them.
In this case we get to look at three adorable little kittens: Blossom, Buttercup and Bubbles! The PowerPuff kittens!
They had a pretty rough start. They were born with a neurological condition known as Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This condition causes their movements to be uncoordinated and jerky. In other words, it makes it really difficult for them to do simple things that any other kitten might be able to do. Luckily for these three, they were able to be taken care of by the Kitten Rescue Nursery until they can get on their feet! Literally!
They used to be known as the “Wobblies” until a volunteer designed wheelchairs just for them. This did wonders for the trio! These wheelchairs keep them upright and help them to stand on all four little feet. Their condition is so severe that they typically have a terrible time trying to do this on their own. By using a sweet new set of wheels these kittens aren’t just sitting around, they are improving every day!
They have become stronger than ever and will continue to get stronger all the time! They started out barely being able to move and do anything at all. Now they can lift their heads, play with their front paws and even use their back feet to scratch an itch! It may not seem like much. But this is a lot of progress for this bunch and they can only keep improving from here!
Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup have improved so much that the Kitten Rescue Nursery believes that they will be able to find foster homes or even forever homes for the bunch! It really goes to know that hard work and determination can go a long way! No matter what I think it is safe to say there will always be plenty of people cheering them on!
